Drum filters are a low maintenance filter system that provides healthy, clear water, without the user having to perform daily maintenance.

The water will be filtered by the a screen filter. When the screen filter is filled with dirt, algae, etc. there can’t flow enough water through the screen filter. This will result in a lower water level in the clean chamber of the drum filter. This will be detected and will switch the drum filter automatically in ‘cleaning-mode’.

The ‘cleaning-mode’ means that the filter screen will be fully cleaned and will flush all the dirt, algae, etc. into the sewer. After a few seconds, the screen filter will be clean and will let through enough water again, so the drum will switch back into ‘Filtration-mode’.
